I am about to build a front garden wall 1.2m high . The metal for the boundary
is all along the garden but I need to know if I can build the wall against
the metal!

I agree, you'd better ask a professional. From this point of few we can't see how strong this metal is and stuff. It also might be neccesairy to paint the metall with a special paint so it doesn't rust when it starts to rain. I am unsure about this.
