Hi i tried using only coco peat replacing soil completely. the roots and the plants grow very healthily. less watering needed. Light weight to carry . You will enjoy the experience. If you use soil them add 50 % of coco peat to get better results.

I have about 30 containers full of plants. I used potting soild that I got at Walmart, I put a tiny bit of fertilizer in it about once a month and water every day. I live in Southern California and it hardly rains here. Also, you have to keep an eye out for the roots and don't let them get root bound.
