Did you or your partner cry after the birth of your baby? My Ex and I both cried during the birth of our son. It was such an amazing experience that I couldn't contain myself. What about you?

I was asleep so I didn't and when I woke up I was in so much pain and on morphine I didn't. My ex said he did but I never saw it.

LOL. He probably said it to make himself look good (not sure why).

I didn't cry after giving birth but even now that my children are grown with their own children, I still remember the overwhelming feeling of joy and love I had when each of them was born.

Not everyone cries but i'm sure we all feel that overwhelming feeling of joy. It's an unexplainable feeling unless you've been through it. Thanks for your response!

Oh my god I cried more than she did when she was born LOL I was in shock after waiting nine months which seemed like forever.. finally I had met the person who would change my life for the better! Its been almost 4 years now and those memories of that day are sketched in my heart and I still sometimes get teary eyed thinking about how tiny she was when she was born and how she is now...AMAZING!

When my son was born, no one said anything for what felt like an eternity. My son's cord was tied in two knots, and wrapped around his neck twice. The doctor was busy trying to get it off, so didn't say anything. Then when my baby cried, and the doctor said "Hello, Elliott!" everything was right again and I cried because I was so relieved that he was okay. They cleaned him up and gave him to me, and told me his apgar score was almost perfect, and the nurse said it was the best that she had seen on a baby with the cord wrapped around him, so I cried again, because I was so thankful that my baby was perfect and healthy.

Me and my fiance cried a little when we first saw our little girl. But it all happened so fast I didn't really have time to cry much. But the tears really started to flow when our family started coming in a little bit at a time to see her. I was just so emotional with all of the love surrounding us. It was truly amazing.

oh yes. i cried so hard, and my hubby definitely teared up, (may have really let go while i wasn't watching). i had an emergency c-section so he was very emotional as my life and the baby's were in jeopardy, so i think when they finally got the baby out, and he went with them to clean him up and such, i'm sure he cried. but i was crying as they were telling me each step of the c-section, and then when they put my baby in my arms, well oh my, it's something a mother can never forget! so special and such a true blessing, such love!!

I don't think I cried... I was just in such shock and amazement. And I was freaking exhausted -- I only slept 45 minutes before my water broke and I had to go to the hospital, so I was really running on adrenaline. :-P I was too tired to cry.

We didnt cry when our daughter was born but I think when she came out that we were more concerned about what they were doing as she was distressed and I had to get her out in such a hurry and then the doctors quickly took her away. I was warned just before I had her that they would take her away

Poor thing. You were probably in shock. My emotions were crazy when I gave birth so I probably would have gave cried then too.
