if you were to rock up to you workplace today and your boss told you you would no longer be paid for your job would you continue doing what you do? or would you give it up? also what is the job you do what would make you stay or leave?

LOL i would SO leave. Unless there were some other amazing benefit that they were going to bestow on me, i would be outta there in a heartbeat! But i'm not really doing any great social service. I work in a manufacturing field that builds cars. So if i left, there would probably be someone standing in line behind me for my job. :) Luckily, i don't think this particular company is ever going to go out of business so i'll probably be safe. How about you?

well I dont get paid for my job I work as volunteer for salvation army people often say they dont know why I would do it with all the work involved when I get no money for it. I do it because it feels right and I have always wanted to help others so it works for me..

I think that's a very noble thing to do. Especially if you haven't been burned out by it. For a long time my wife would volunteer at the salvation army around christmas. LOL not as a bell ringer. that'd drive her nuts. but she used to get upset when she saw volunteers being rude to the people that there were suppposed to be there to help. It's hard enough to ask for help, without being looked down on while you're having to ask. So, I commend you. Especially if it's something that makes you happy, and in making you happy, will help other people through a hard situation.
