I was given the name Joseph, While I like my name because it is a very strong name I don't much care what it stands for. I came across a book of names and according to it my name means "god-like". Not that I don't think I am a good man I just think I am very little like "God"

Dad and Daemon - My constantly gentle demon
"He shall add" huh? Well I have only added one to this world and there will be no others so I guess I have added. I am wondering where people come up with the "meaning" of a name. I was talking with my wife, her name is Leslie, She told me that her name means "gray fortress". The meaning of someone's name seems to have no reason. Like my son's name, I have actually found three meanings for his. His name is Daemon, Latin: demon, Greek: Gentle one, and Arabic: Constant. So I figure you smash them all together and you get my son, A constantly gentle demon.

maybe, they based the meanings from the persons names on the first centuries... base on the character of the person's name i guess...

My parents named me Scott, it means "from Scotland". Although my parents aren't from Scotland, they gave me that name, I'm not sure why, and they probably just liked how it sounded. Sometimes we name our children based on the sound of the name, and not the origin of the name. Pablo

My name is Adrian. It was given to me with not much reason - my sisters say the name just popped out of their minds and vuallah!! Adrian is already my name!! LOL I have read a book before and their, the author said my name means 'a special gift'. That fact flattered me a little bit.. LOL There is a cool link about names which I have found out. You might want to check it out, it's about the roots of our names and how popular it is: www.thinkbabynames.com

Yep, I know that song. As well as the prayer, "Regina Coeli". That's my real name, actually, "Maria Regina Coeli" which means "Mary, Queen of Heaven". Lol if you name your child that, then I wouldn't be the only "Coeli" that I know!
