Do you pull over for emergency vehicles?

My husband would never pull over to the side of the road if an emergency vehicle was coming in the opposite direction, only if it was coming up behind him. I always pull to the side of the road (unless there's a divider in the middle of the road) and give the emergency vehicle the entire road - both directions.
I do see all the time, when an emergency vehicle is coming up behind someone and they don't pull over to let them pass. I don't know if they have the music up too loud, if they're talking on the cell phone, or if they just flat out aren't paying attention. But it really gets on my nerves when people do not move out of the way for emergency vehicles. But, yes, there probably have been times when I have not noticed a police siren or ambulance until the last minute, but I think some people never see them...

Oh I didn't realize they'd call the police or anything, but that would be a good idea. Give the guys a ticket when they don't get out of the way...

I have been on both sides of this situation. For the most part, cars are usually good about pulling over for an ambulance or another emergency vehicle and on both sides of the road. My boyfriend always pulls over for an emergency vehicle no matter what side of the road it is on. And he can see those things coming before I do. But there are some people who don't realize it until the last minute.

You must live in a nicer place than I do... It just seems like people don't pay attention, or just don't care about the emergency vehicles. I even saw an accident once where the person pulled out into traffic because everyone was stopped for an ambulance. The ambulance hit the car that pulled out...
