nintendo Wii vs playstation 3..the winner?

I'm not completely sold on the idea of the Nintendo Wii. One, thirdiparty game developers like EA and Bioware are having issues simply translating their games into the Wii format or using the unique controller schemes. The graphics are marginally (if even that much) better than the Gamecube. The only thing the Wii has going for it right now are the Nintendo-produced games (Zelda, Paper Mario RPG, etc.) Can it become better? Sure. I mean, it's the top-selling system right now in units, I believe, past PS3, but the PS3's better graphics and processor overwhelm the WIi and gives more to the hardcore gamer, which would put it over the top as of right now IMO.

I think it depends on the kind of games you like. The Wii's games are more interactive, but not all the titles really utilize the wii remote very well. In fact, some games have been really disappointing like Red Steel. Then again, other games are really innovative and a ton of fun like Legend of Zelda (seriously, the BEST game ever), Raving Rabbids, and Super Paper Mario. However, if you prefer really good graphics and more serious games that include racing and shooting, I think the PS3 might be the better machine for that. But then again, I would reccomend the Xbox 360 over the PS3 any day. I do own a Wii and love it. I just wish there were more titles that really wowed me.

So far the Wii sounds like it's more promising. It adds a new dimension of game play to it which is really unique. It uses motion for attacks I find pretty interesting. Right now game wise, I'd have to give it to the Wii.

Right now I would say the wii is better because of the control schemes and the fact that it is completely different from other game systems. The downfall about the wii though is that most of the games aren't that good. I can only find a few good games and most of them are designed for young kids. The ps3 is more for hardcore gamers though and it can play dvds and blu-ray. Also the ps3 has way better graphics. I can't really say which is better for sure but I like wii better since its different
