It happened on me back in my teenage years, I had friend that had a girlfriend which I had crush also. It was so hard to breath every time seeing them together with a smile on their faces. But I managed to control myself and battled that would be a betrayed act to my friend. Well it's not that easy buy our friendship won. Did you ever be in that kind of situation? How did you handle it?

Sometimes when in this situation it is hard to distinguish between whether you really have feelings for the girl, or just want what they have. I have been in this situation as the girl, and I can just say it never works out. Sometimes, the guy just wants what he cant have or wants the type of girl the friend found. Searching for someone of her caliber that suits you better would be the best decision.

Good points I never thought of that but finally realized that it could be the reason after you mentioned it. Sometimes guys want to have the same as their friends have most of the time the better version. It maybe about the ego of the male community.

Well, you gotta ask yourself 1 thing. Which is more important to you? The friendship or the crush. If you had been friends for a fairly long time and rely on each other, then you should just let the moment pass, as you did. The Friendship wins, as it hould be. In any case, it's only a crush and may not last beyond the immediate future, which is not the case with your friendship. Such moments are tests of our inner resolve and our ability to foresee the sensible future. The common sense is put against the not so common desire. To fail here is to invite doubts about your own personality and fidelity.
