The cross is one of the most recognisable symbol to man. Many revered it,considering it to be the sacred instrument on which Jesus was put to death. Some say that the cross makes them feel closer to the God when they pray.Others use it as amulet, thinking that it protects them from evil.Should christians use the cross as an object of veneration?Did Jesus really die on a cross? An important issue for true christians should be the propriety of venerating the instrument used to kill Jesus.Should such an instrument which used to kill Jesus be used in worship?

Jesus did die on the cross. It was proved in the bible. As for using the cross as a shield, the bibles talks about having faith. Faith in God not in a cross to keep evil away. The cross only sybolizes what we should remember. Christ gave his life on the cross so that we all should be able to live. That's how I look at the cross. I also know that the bible speaks about using things like the cross to worship. I was just trying to find the scripture for that, but I can't find it right now. When I do, I will post it on here. But it speaks about how we shouldn't use things like that. Just thought I'd share that with you.

no matter what people say i belive he did die on the cross. but at the same time alot of people during that time die on the cross.I belive in god and in jesus, there are good christians and bad ones. during the early times christians took things out the bible and change it, for it to sound better for the people. Also early Christians killed alot of people to make sure it stay that way. I belive in jesus but i do not belive everthing i hear in the bible! Love god Love jesus

I have no idea man...it all sounds morbid somehow to me. I guess people worship the weapon cos it came in direct contact with His blood. Not the weapon itself
