How do I get rid of this tiny picture?

I tried to upload a picture for my avatar and it ended being this little tiny picture. I went in to my profile and deleted and went back to the generic avatar and updated but the tiny picture is still here. Any suggestions anyone?

In your profile next to the picture it says remove then it should get rid of the picture and put your uploaded one.

The picture doesn't show up anywhere on my profile page, that's why I thought it was gone. I can't find it anywhere except beside my name when I respond or start a discussion.

Sorry i am used to the old profile page i have just gone to mine and it has changed. I don't know how to change it sorry. I am trying to change my picture but cannot find how to myself.
