What do you think about that TV show asking to sponsor a child in a poor country for $30.00 by month? Do you trust Worl Vision? Can really your money help a child the way they describe?

I think World Vision is a reputable organization. I wish I could sponsor a child but right now it is not possible financially. However, I did buy a goat for someone at Christmas. We have so much here, my children really don't need anything. So last Christmas I bought a goat for someone in Africa and gave the certificate as a Christmas gift to my son. In their catalogue they also have chickens, rabbits, pigs, cows and medical supplies, something for every budget. I think every little bit helps. Sometimes I feel a little guilty when I see the abundance in our country compared to the abject poverty in other countries. We are so fortunate.
