My dream is to retire at age 40 and start travelling the world. i am not currently saving for it because im working on my own business so that when i am older, i would have a sustainable income. i am thinking of getting an annuity just in case the business gets more downs than ups in the future. whats your future plans?

I would like to retire at 55. I think it would be lovely to buy a piece of land in Belize and get a house built on it. It would be a wooden bungalow on stilts with a thatched roof. I hope to save out the money for it over the next 20 years. I would keep my house in the UK and let it out to have an income.

It is in Central America next to Mexico and Guatemala. It quite a small country. But it is very beautiful, from the Mayan ruins to the stunning coral reef.

My dream is just similar to yours.but the reality is I have to work to 55,a little old to travel around the world.Still I hope I can have more time controlled by myself in the future.Go around many places.

yes, reality is a bummer. but thats just my dream. i know i will never stop working. i like it too much. i guess i would have to improvise a plan to work by traveling the world. and 55 is not too old. 70 maybe.
