Do you ever regret your decision to go back to work at maternity leave?

Being a mom, this is an area that really concerns me. Even though I'm a full time stay at home mom now, with our first child, it's possible that won't be the case with our next child. For financial reasons, I might have to be a working mom. Do you feel that you made the right decision to return to work after your children were born? If you had it to do all over again, would you make the same decision?

i went back to work when my son was 4 months old because my ex would not get a job. i had to work. and i regret it. because i missed my sons first words and his first steps. but if i had to do it again i would.

It really is a pain to leave your child after a few weeks from birth. I was lucky enough to have my grandparents living nearby to whom I can entrust my kid without any worries. The worst part of leaving my child for work is if he is getting the same kind of caring when I am watching him by myself. Maybe you wont feel as bothered as you are now if you will have somebody from your family to leave your children, instead of living them to a baby sitter. Nowadays, we really have to catch up on the finances and help the hubby to support our growing family.

i was fortuate that i was able to stay home when they were little, but now, even though they are older (10 & 14) and now that i work p/t there are times that i wish i could still be home with them (like when they are sick or off on vacation) i think that is a normal reaction...after all, there isnt anyone more capable than you to look after your own kids... on the flip side of this, tho, i know people that couldnt stay home as it would drive em crazy! lol you do what you gotta do eh?
