What do you think about this movie? Personally i like so much this film, togheter "apocalipse now" i think are the best films about Vietnam war... do you agree?

I've not occasion to see FMJ, but I've heard that it is considered a minor film among those directed by Kubrick
('relata refero' so don't mind, neither I knew it was about Vietnam war, I thought it was something like Officier and gentleman).
For me the best movie about Vietnam is Platoon by Olivier Stone.

Well, there are lot of movies about Vietnam war, Platoon is another good film about this event... i see Platoon many times and i like it so much too.

Full Metal Jacket is a great movie. An interesting aspect to it... while they're in boot camp and while they're in Vietnam are two complete stories in and of themselvesl. You can watch one part one day, watch the other part a couple of days later and not lose anything along the way. Which is great. That's actually how I saw the movie for the first time.
Of course, seeing it all as 1 continuous movie is good as well.

Full Metal Jacket was a poorly acted, poorly directed, boring film in my opinion..Vietnam films..um...Platoon is decent..Hamburger Hill is okay...WE WERE SOLDIERS with Mel Gibson was well done I thought

I like Full Metal Jacket. I also like Platoon Leader. It is only on tape. We have been told it isn't due to be put on dvd anytime soon (if ever).
