do the subjects we study in school are really helpfull in your work?

other than the computers are they really helpfull to be successfull in your work? How many of them here says that my school studies really helped me a lot in my work? i wont say that..

I think school helps us in many ways. It helps us to think critically and think for ourselves. In the US, since the same topics are taught around the country it helps give us a common knowledge which helps us to talk to and relate to one another.
Literature gives us insight into the human condition.
Everyone uses a little math to balance their checkbook.
Biology helps you to get some insight into the planet around you and your health. So you see you may use those high school topics more than you think.
