mobile phone - Without your mobile phone, how many telephone number can you remember?

More and more people own their own cell or mobile phone, even more than two at the same time. Since mobile phone comes to our life, most of us record the telephone number on their phones rather than write them down to somewhere. A few days ago, one of my friend lost her mobile phone and she didn't write those numbers down and just remember a small part of them. Therefore, she couldn't contact with some of her friends. Have you encountered this situations? When you record those numbers on it, would you write them down to any other places? If without your cell phone, can you remember all of the numbers of your friends of relatives? If not all of them, how many can you remember?

Of course, it does count, lol. Try to write them down in somewhere, or not you won't contact with others if it lost. Thank for your response. Have a happy day! :)

Hi,mexshyl! To be honest, without the cell phone,I can remember only 3 telephone numbers:my papa's,my mama's and mine. Well,I'm not interested in remembering numbers,so that I just remeber the most important ones' numbers in my mind. I can remember the last 4 or5 numbers of some of my friends' telephone numbers but don't expect me to remember all the telephone numbers LoL

Yeah, we always remember the most important numbers. Honetly, I can just remember 6 numbers of my parents and best friends(a little bit than you ^_^) Just last 4 or 5 is enough, I think they never expect you to remember them all if you won't like, lol. Have a happy day! :)

Although I store all numbers in my cell phone I still remember most of them.. I am the person in the family that everyone calls to get someone's phone number...I have always had the ability to remember numbers...after I read this post I recited all the numbers I could in my phonebook on my cell phone and only missed 2 out 31!! I wish I could somehow turn this into something worthwhile!!!!LOL I still remember my friends old phone numbers from elementary school...although they don't exist anymore..but it still takes up space in my brain!!!

Hello, mexyshyl,i have all my contact list written in a notebook,i will still be able to contact with my friends in any cases. Honestly,i can tell you i cannot remember most of the phone numbers,i need to check everytime when i call out or i will just find the numbers from the contact list, there are ten digits in the mobile numbers in australia which make me hard to remember them.

Hi, easy888. You've gotten a good habbit to write them down in a notebook. To be honest, when I call out, I have to check everytime like you but on the list of my phone. I don't keep them in other places except on my phone. Maybe I'm a little bit lazy.:) It's the best way to keep them by writing them down. I'll make a list to write down in somewhere later. In China, our house numbers are eight digits while mobile phones' are also ten. Wish you happy all the time! ^_^

Today I seldom will write down people's contact information into a notebook. I use my cellphone to keep this information. If my cellphone loses, it'll be a disaster. As I can remember my family, work and a few of good friends's telephone numbers.

I lost my cellphone lots of times already. Along with all the numbers, emails and other notes saved in it. I don't put anything too important into my cellphone though. I always carry a little notebook for more important details.. anyways I have a very bad memory. The only numbers I have memorized are my fiance's number, my older sister's, my grandparents and about 2-3 friends. The rest are all history when I loose a phone lol.

Very Good discussion! Huan! I can remember phone numbers of all my near and dear ones, whom I regularly make calls. The numbers which are not called by me frequently....are not remembered by me. I also keep the back up of my contact number, besides storing them in my mobile. deepak

i can only remember 3 phone numbers! my mom, my dad and my husband's numbers. they are the only ones who haven't changed their numbers for the longest time. besides all 3 numbers are significant to me and i was the one who choose those numbers :) before, i copy all numbers from my cellphone to a notebook. but i realized that every now and then a friend, changes number so i grew tired of it.

I cannot remeber very many telephone numbers at all and do mostly just rely on my cell phone for my numbers. All I do is find the contact in my contact list and hit the dial button. So I don't even see the number when I call someone from my cell.

Hi mexshyl. I am terrible when it comes to remembering things especially numbers so I have a separate list I keep in my diary just incase. I don't have many numbers on my phone just the home number, my husbands work number, my parents, siblings, family doctor, dentist and so forth. I can't remember them all.

Hi, maddysmommy. It's great that you prepared your separate list in diary. Don't worry. You can keep them forever because of the list except it was gone, but I'm sure it won't.:) Thank you for your response. Wish you happy every day!

Oh my god, I barely remember few numbers, if I would loose my 2 phones, I would be lost without contacts. 5 years ago everyone wanted a number that could be easily remembered because not anyone had cellphone. Now that doesn`t matter because everyone saves numbers in their contact list and just press few buttons and - there you go, you`re calling.

Hi, c45hfl0w. Yeah, you're right. It's too easy for us to keep them in our contact list. And more and more people aren't used to remembering numbers by themselves. Maybe we should keep them in other places at the same time. It might decrease our troubles if it was lost. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Wish you enjoy yourself in myLot! :)

I could only remember two. LOL! They are my wife's and my mom's. The reason that I can remember that because the number was under my family plan. So they all ends up with the same number. I only need to remember the first three digits. I would not want to lose my cell phone again. i lots it once and i lost all my contacts with it.

Not more than 3-4 phone numbers I can remember without my mobile. Sometimes I even think, why people choose the fancy numbers for their mobile numbers, when nobody usually tries to remember them. Most of the people just store the phone numbers in their mobile and directly dial from the phone. There is no need to remember the numbers anyway. Also with other features such as Voice Dial, Speed dial etc, the chance of remembering the phone number is very much reduced.

Hi, senthil2k. Thanks for response. Yeah, there are fewer people who remember the numbers with their brain. But actually, we do need keep them in any other places, such as in a notebook, computer, and so on, in case there is something wrong with our phone. Thank you very much. Have a nice day! :)
