I want to be supportive and help her as much as possible. Her daughter is my youngest daughters age and i have taken her to stay with us for a few days...what else can i do? what should i say? mostly, i am just listening to her...

truthfully there really is nothing you can say. you are already doing the best thing you can. Listening and being there. And you should continue to do so. this really is the best role you can play right now. be that shoulder, that ear, that pat on the back. Just keep doing what your doing. I know it will never feel like enough but it really is all you can do.

What can you say? It's a good question, I would probably just let her know I was their if she needed a friend. Personally I wouldn't say anything else because I don't want to put my foot into it. Good discussion! ~Joey

What a big deal? I will just say to her 'Come along'. As you just did.

As your doing all you can do now. Just remember it will take her time to heal. Don't ask too many questions or make her feel like she can't cope. Your a good friend and thats what will pull her through tis. She will soon see she is blessed. He like in the sky is her daughter. She won't be this way forever. let her lean on your shoulder and cry and laugh it over years from now.

I don't think there is a lot you can say to her at this point, she probably wouldn't hear it anyway. You are being a true friend showing compassion and understanding. Who could ask for anything more. Bless You.
