This morning I was surfing for new business opportunities online and found a governement website that lists various scams. One was the envelope stuffing scam, product assembly scam and the medical billings scam, where you put in lots of money for a kit, and then get nothing in return. Or, the company requires you to buy their product or equipment and then flakes on paying you. I was wondering if anyone had actually ever been scammed by this type of thing. Is this new, I've never heard of these scams before.

Well, about a yr. and a half ago, I fell for the Envelope Stuffing Scam and spent enough for a Roll of stamps to try it and nothing in return, so I lost about $150 dollars or so plus my time. I from now on refuse to join any program online that is like this. And if you are Stupid enough to do the Envelope one you end up on Mail lists that are almost impossible to ever get removed from.

I've heard about these types of scams a few times. The BBB (Better Business Bureau) warns against them. I'm sure there are some legitimate companies of this nature, but they're like a needle in a haystack to find. My suggestion is to stay away from these types of schemes (or if you think you've found something that could be legit be sure to do your due diligence and check them out with the BBB and other 3rd party reporting agencies). As a matter a fact I just created a HubPage that guides you on your search for a legitimate home business opportunity. It's entitled "Home Business Opportunities? OR http://linkcloak.com/PC1

no, thank god i haven't, and I don't anyone that has. but I guess that if they keep doing it it's because there are always honest people that trust them, right?
