My daughter is almost 2 yo, with really nice curly hair, style spanish or arabic hairs told me my haistylist, but every body around told me told not let the hairstylist to cut them : because they will stop to curl and they will grow straight ahead later... - Did that happen to your child? - then at what age can we cut her hair without this happening? Thank you, daughter of Dania

My son is almost 2 now. His hair has always been curly. He has had 4 haircuts since he was born and it's still curly. I don't know if it will continue to be curly or straigthen out as he grows. But so far, after these few haircuts, it's still as curly as ever.

As a person with curly hair, you can cut her hair and nothing will happen. It will still be curly. In fact if you let it grow long, it will weigh down her hair causing it to be less curly. As she gets older, her hair may straighten out as mine did, but you can't control that.

My grandson's beautiful curly hair - My grandson's beautiful curly hair. I hope they stay.
My grandson has really curly hair. We didn't want to get it cut either because we were afraid we would lose those beautiful curls. Well, his mom found a really good hair stylist and she told them she wanted to keep the curls. they cut his hair and the curls were still there. He was about 2 when he first got his hair cut.

I had naturall curly hair as a baby and I currently have naturally curly now, at 26 years of age. I have gotten many many haircuts over the years and they have not interefered with my curl.

Hi there, About curly hair. I know when my son was almost 2, he had nice ringlet curls and his grandfather picked him for the holidays, anyway he came home with no curls, just a baldhead. I was so peeved off, I got over it by thinking his curls would grow back, hes 13 now and they've never come back at all... He was a natural curly lock little boy, now his hair is straight and always kept short... I hope this helps in some way...

There are some cases where kids will lose a little bit of their curl as they grow older but I doubt you have to worry about her losing much of it because of her heritage. The type of hair you have is genetic and hereditary, simply put, it is something that you can't change unless you use perms or straightening products.
