Advice For Recently Neutered Kitten?

Today marked the day Milo lost his manly... He got fixed. We were told the anesthetic would have him drowsy and sedate for a little while after the surgery.. it was a LIE. Little booger's just as wide-eyed and restless as ever, so much so that to keep him in a room for a few hours, I had to have someone else bring me the food and water dishes that I filled for him - I needed both hands and a foot to restrain him from fleeing the room. Still need to bring in a litterbox, but I haven't been able to yet. Any tips for a post-op kitten who won't settle down long enough for me to leave the room? I was considering, since the bottom drawer of my dresser is totally empty, making a little Milo-haven in it, and leaving it open.. until I have to leave the room for a second =P That seems awful, though. And no, letting him out of the room is /not/ an option for the next few days. With four other cats and a giant dog who is relentlessly playful, he will undoubtedly be running, jumping, and climbing, all against the vet's orders. So.. please help!
