What do you think would solve our immigration problem? Should we simply deport everyone? Should we build a fence? Should we allow temporary worker ID cards? What is your solution and why will it work?

I think providing temporary work ids would be the best solution.

Do you think Governor Perry would be the one to initiate a strong program or in this upcoming election will you be voting for someone more capable?

The guest worker concept I think will make some of a difference but the problem is that Perry hasn't enforced it. Especially with all the violence happening on the border you would think he would do something about it. Who do you think would be a good leader?

I agree a fence doesn't mean anything if there aren't law enforcement officials on the our side sending them to Mexico consistently. The catch and release stuff is ridiculous at best. I've voted for Kinky here he's the only one with the cojones to declare marshal law at the border and handle this situation while Perry sits back and calls it a federal problem. Well, until election time that is, did you know that in the last legislative session more legislation was passed to help Texans than in the last six years of Perry's term? Go figure. I don't think a wall means crap, there are several tunnels that have been discovered, and more still will be so, what about that fence then.

I agree with tickedoff! Build the wall and patrol the border better. It's not that we don't want immigrants here but if they are going to be here they need to be legal and they need to pay taxes!!! If they are going to come here and use our welfare system then they should have to pay and once they are here and become American citizens they should learn our language (English)!

I don't think there will ever be a solution. The US will remain the same. I personally don't have any problems with anyone and immigration doesn't bother me. The only thing that does is the people that come to the US illegally and think they have rights to everything..I hate when they complain about the situation they are facing when they are the ones that are here illegally!

You know I hate to take a defeatist attitude about it, I think we can all agree on the issues we have with illegal immigration. I don't have issues with people in general either, most people are nice people, but if you look at the crime statistics and you see them around everywhere mooching off of the government it's disgusting and you become fed up. Here it's such a big issue because there are so many illegals here. If they hit you they take off, if they're poor they have babies, it's like an epidemic that needs a cure.
