Depression is a serious issue and you find that people try all different methods but what really works. What do you think? Is it possible to sip some type of herbal tea or use some herbal remedy to cure depression or is it Zoloft to the rescue. I am not sure how I feel on this matter.

It's called "The New Healing Herbs" by Michael Castleman. The classic guide to nature's best medicines.

Nothing is closer to man than nature. All human ills can be cured through nature. All it needs is a good ayurvedic doctor who can identify the herbs required for various ills.

There are so many herbal medicines information of which are passed on to us by generations and it really holds good. Greatest thing is there is no side effect.

I have had major depression, and I tried to kid myself that herbal remedy would help me. It didn't. I had to get anti-depressents to pull myself up after I was so down. I have had no side effects, and I am taking less now then when I was really depressed. I think maybe if you are mildly depressed, herbal remedy might work for you. But I had more than depression, I had anxiety, panic attacks, ect.

Herbal medicines can treat some diseases. There are different decoctions to treat different diseases. And each decoction is a combination of different kind of herbs.I don't know whether there are any chinese medincine in your country.I am not sure whether the herbal remedy you talk about is similar to the herbal medincines Italk here.In chinese medicine, certain decoctions can improve the condition of depressing patients. The most of all, medicine is not the only method to your condition.I think you should find out the original reason to your feeling. Was there anything, any people who made you have such feeling?Do you suffer from any pressure in your work?Try to meet as many friends as you can and share your thinkings with them.Keep in a positive attitude in your daily life.If possible,go to see a psychoanalysis.

It really depends on how severe your depression is. I tried all the herbal remedies, but unfortunately they didn't work. Like you, I wasn't sure medication was the answer. Zoloft does help.
