How do you say goodnight to your child(ren)?

I never realized how excited my daughter gets about our nightly routine until last night. She gets so excited and almost appears to prepare herself for the "festivities". We sing the ABC song and we read a book, and then we do airplane into bed. What do you do??

i don't do much but it really means a lot to my daughter anyway. i tuck her in bed and i have to say a list of things to her and kiss her in between every sentence. if i don't do it right or i forget something she lets me know. i say, i love you, have a good sleep, i'll see you tomorrow, don't let the bed bugs bite.

Mine are spread out so most everything has to happen before they get tucked in bed. We read a story or a chapter of a story. We spend some time talking about "stuff". Then each one gets tucked in individually and given a hug and kiss and we repeat our special good night message to each other. Once everyone is all done then it's lights out but the older ones are allowed to talk quietly for a little bit. The second youngest and the baby get close to the same thing except that they get rocked to sleep instead of being tucked into bed.

Oh thats great,me and my kid just pray god joining our hands together,to give us sound and pleasant sleep for the night and then go to bed and even in the mornings we just wish god first than we do in between us.

The reading of a book happens throughout the day. We tell our children to use the restroom, get something to drink, give us a big hug and kiss plus tell them we love them and to pray to God to let Him know we love Him too.

that sounds great :) It is so important for them to know we love them and we too say our prayers at night. Thanks for the response.
