Whats more important,asking a right question or getting an answer to a question?

s it better to ask a consise and clear question or just get an answer to your question..

this is some thing like ..... which was born before egg or chick ( hen ).... but asking a question is more brilliant than getting answer for a question..

hmm..its true for me in asking good questions....i always ask more questions than replying to new discussions,...i feel its more challenging when you think and make questions...its good fun...at least for me..thanks for answering....:-)

I work in an industry where people ask questions all the time. We spend a lot of time advising people that the most likely way they are going to get the answer they need is to make sure they ask a specific enough question. We see a lot of people who come and say 'I'm doing a school project on the Romans, what can you tell me' where a better question would be 'What evidence survives that shows us what impact the Romans had in this part of the world', its a much easier question to answer because it has parameters and is more specific.
