good communication is very key in a strong relationship...my fiance and i have known each other for over 10 years now...we recently got engaged...
shes my best friend...it was very important for me to develop a strong friendship with her in the beginning...and it has helped us through the problems that occur...
take the time as best you can to build a friendship...play games, cook, clean, take walks, take the time to know their hobbies and let them know about yours...you dont have to enjoy the same things they do, just acknowledge it...

oh me and fiance have been together for over 3 years and it seems like on somedays(recently he's had 2 jobs) there is no time for him to sit down and talk to me and for us to do stuff together. he just recently just qit his second job and now we'll have our weekends togetjer again and stuff... i guess the second job and the stress has building up from it was taking a toll.
