Optimists say that birthday is a happy occassion and pessimists say that it is a sad occassion because they neared there death by one year.

Well sure it feels like a birthday should be a happy occasion, but I for one feel like it should be a day when I can do as I please. By nature I am a fairly solitary person so I like to spend it on some mountain, peace and quiet. My daughter wants to spend it with her family - its horses for courses. I don't feel that it's one year nearer my eventual demise.

Birthday is non event for others but event for the person who,s birth took place on that day.Normally the person feel himself energetic and do not try to displease himself. He wants to announce that on that very day, he was born. Birth day reminds him that he was a infant some years before and he wishes to feel like a child.

I don't give importance to my birthday. Actually I don't remember it. Usually my wife or children reminds me of the day. Once reminded it makes me feel some what auspecious and spent some time remembering my parents who are no more and my siblings who are away. No special happiness or sadness. Thank you andywish.
