I know I sleep too much.I've been called lazy by my family.I try to get myself going in the morning but it's hard sometimes.I have to get people to call me to wake me up sometimes.

Sometimes I sleep too much because the little crumb snatchers keep me up all night.

it depends on the activities that i am indulge with. during weekends when i can avail the luxury of sleeping long, say, 10 hrs or more, i really do so. but during weekdays when i really have to stay up vary late due to some job-related things, i am forced not to sleep too long. As long as you are not depriving yourself the amount of sleep it deserves, it's alright in any case...but be sure not to make it an excuse from not doing your responsibilities at home or at work

yes, i sleep quite a bit but i don't seem to get the deep restorative sleep that is needed... i go to bed around 10:30 and get up around 7 for work (i only work p/t - thats all i can handle)...i also have severe arthritis in my knees and i think it also makes me sleepy!

Hi there! Wouldn't it be nice if everyone understood insomnia? I know exactly where you're coming from on this one. I too have family members that have said the same thing about me. The way I see it is this; I don't have to go to bed at 9 p.m. and get up at 6 a.m. to be normal. Unfortunately for some of us insomnia is something that you have to work your life around. Laying in the bed at night tossing and turning; sometimes even to the point of tears, makes you feel bad enough and then you have everyone judging you for something that isn't your fault. It is incredibly unfair and hurtful! Sometimes I barely make it through the day with two or three hours of sleep, sometimes I can sleep five or six hours a night; either way I'm up and doing what I have to do. I have raised two great kids, kept a house for my family, worked off and on for the past twenty years; all while dealing with insomnia. I wish people could just understand that it doesn't mean you're lazy, in fact I've found that I've had to work twice as hard as anyone else I know just to get through the day! Good luck my friend, and don't let anyone make you feel bad because you have insomnia. You are who you are, and no amount of sleep is going to change that! :)

I think I sleep too much. Bad. I don't like it. But if I sleep too little, i feel uneasy the whole day. I think that more of this has to do with one's expectations and dispositions.
