What are the things you mostly do during a day-off or a rest day?

I our office we work on a shifting schedule. It is a 24X7 technical operations, in a telecommuncations office.
Today I'll stay at home untill tomorrow and will be back of the early morning shift on Saturday. I'll surely miss mylot and all my friends here.
Before going to my mother, I will prepare my clothes to wash them first. Then I will but the medicines for my mom and go to my relative's to visit them.
The usual I do on a rest day or day-off is to sleep, eat and clean. I do the laundry and cleaning at home. I also take of the plants and take out weeds in our yard if there are any.
It means being away from mylot for two long days. I hope to give comments to all your respond on Saturday. God bless!

Now we have this "mylot hours". LOL. Almost everyone loves to sleep. I wonder why am one of them?

How busy you are. During my rest day I do the laundry and cleaning my house. My rest day are saturday and sunday. I often miss mylot because the my office internet network at Bandung very bad. If I use internet we can call by phone and receive phone. So, I often miss mylot. You send me much discussion but I can't respon faster. I'm sorry. But, please don't stop to send your discussion. I 'm happy to receive those discussion.

I only work 40 hours a week, and that is Monday thru Friday. Saturday and Sunday would be my time to be spent with my family and anything out of my job.
During my day-off, i used to play with my kids as if we've missed each other for a whole weekday. I am also fond of playing music files on PC and so i think it add up joy in our house. With my wife, we used to cook whatever we wanted for our lunch and dinner or even go out for an eat. Groceries and malling often happen this day specially when we got extra circles.
Church will be our place every Sunday morning. We go there with my kids for a mass. Sometimes we visit our relatives during this time and I think that's all.

Hi mike it a very productive day-off you have!
I do admire you as a father and husband who gives time and effort spending time together with the family. I know very few fathers who does this nowadays. Most of them are away from home and can't find time to play with kids. It is wonderful knowing that you are not only striving to be successful at work but also at home.

I am a working mom.. I go to the office, monday till friday at 8am til 5pm. I must admit, that's the time I visit myLot as well in a daily basis.. but during weekends, I am a full time who run our household.
I see to it that my family has all the attention they want from me, especially my one year old daughter who loves walking now.
I am glad to have a house helper, I have all the help that I need in the house and I have all the time to be with my daughter and husband.

Its true house, we owe it to our house helpters when we are away from home. I know you are one of the multi-tasker working-mom who do mylot even in the middle of a busy working day. I do mylot at work only too. LOL. We don't have an internet access at home. God bless you my friend and stay beautiful as a mom and wife you are!

Hello. We all look forward to our rest day or day-offs. As for me, weekends serve as my day-off since I work in the government. I usually wake up late on Saturdays. During the day, I would go through the paperworks that I needed to file, discard, and reply to. Then I play badminton in the afternoon. On Sundays, my family normally goes to church, then have a lunch out, and spend the rest of the afternoon watching a movie at home.

What I usually do during my restday is staying home all day. ( Aside from the fact that I too, will be missing myLot ;( ).. Anyways, if it's payday and It falls on my restday, I'll pay my bills and go on mall hopping with my 'bayo'(bf)..ehehhehee...Simple as that.. ;)

downloading any gud movie from the internet and watching it.......after that sleeping most of the time or to move out to frnds' house and there we again start any funny thing on our computers like playing games etc.

Computer games can't be absent of our day-off. Downloading is best when you have a dsl connection. How I wish we ahve that at home too. God bless you my friend, thanks alot here!

Im a student and the only days I get off are the sundays and other public holidays.I usually spends most of the time on that days cahtting to my freinds at hostel or watching tv.If Im not interested in doing both,just kept on sleeping till I become interested in something.

Hi beauty_ph! Mostly you would find me on the Internet. I also ensure that i do a face scrub, manicure & pedicure at home,remove my nail polish & put a new one, go grocerry shopping etc. I have a maid coming in to do other works so i do not have top worry abouit cleaning & washing.

Working in the yards is what I missed in my life. Although I can do some planting in our backyards, it is far more different working in the yards with several plants from fruits, vegetables and crops. I do hope I find someone-a partnet in life-who is into these stuff so I can join him. LOL. What a wish!

Who actually has a day off or time to relax? I don't and I am a SAHM. I am always cleaning, picking up after 4 kids & hubby, laundry, dishes, vaccuuming, mowing lawn. I very seldom get to sit and relax even when on the computer. I am up and down chasing kids out of something there getting into and shouldn't be. I don't know what relaxing is anymore, but would sure like to find out sometime soon!

A full time mom finds it relaxing seeing a child successful in the daily tasks of their lives, even a lifetime. I guess full time mothers are relaxed each time they learn that the childern and hubby is safely home. As I have mentioned, it's a no-rest-day/no-day-off yet all the time is a full-time-loving. Well im a full time mum to 4 children 5th on the way i dont have a day off or a day of rest im on the go all the time lol but wouldnt mine one.

Dating on a rest day is alot more fun. Not having anything to worry about work but all dine here shop there things on the minds. Sleeping is still the best. LOL. Thanks for sharing these things my friend. God bless!

Days-off are usually the time for me to attend to my personal errands. I especially do my laundry, clean my room, and see my friends if there's still enough time. It's my time also for my beauty rest...lol
I've been away for days too beauty_ph. I missed mylot and you mylotter friends as well too. lol

Having a job with limited timings, I have my afternoons and evenings off, which i spend watching movies, reading and going for walks and ofcourse on the net. so on my off days I basically do more of the same.

I watch movies the whole day...
Then the other day off, i go to my friends jamming...
Or sometimes i go to the beach...
And sometimes i clean my room...
etc....
There are many things i do when its my dayoff because that's the only day that i can do whatever i want..

I only work from monday to friday 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday would be my rest day. During Sundays I usually go out with friends, strolling in the mall, watching movies or just hanging around with them while saturday would be the time for me to take a rest at home, watching television and take enough sleep.

I go for a movie marathon or just sleep it off. As I wake up early and sleep late during the weekdays, I have a lot of sleep debt to cover so I tend to catch up on some sleep first, then go to the VCD shop and rent like 5 VCDs or DVDs and go for a movie marathon...:p This helps me catch up on my sleep as well as any movies I have missed.

A movie marathon is indulging. LOL. I am sleep deprived too sometimes during my graveyards shift. When I have a day-off I sometimes can sleep for two long days. Not too often, I need to do other stuffs. Thanks for participating in here my friend. GOd bless!

Malling is most of the time the place we go. Am missing you bed is often what my subconcious tells my brain and makes me sleepy always. LOL. Are you working away from your family?
