Do you smoke cigarettes?

I do, but I am trying to quit. I know I have said this many times, but it never happens:P Maybe someday I will be smokefree. I just enjoy it too much. Everytime I get stressed, all I have to do is pick up a cigarette, and it instantly relaxes me as I puff away. That is why I smoke, for the relaxation, and of course, habit. How about you? Do you smoke cigarettes? Why?

I am an unashamed smoker. I do however smoke a bit more than I would like because it is an expensive habit. A life long asthma sufferer, nearly everyone rolls their eyes at me for smoking. I have no desire to quit, because I enjoy smoking too much. It really is like having a best friend. It's their for me when I wake up, when I'm down, when I've had a bad day or am just a little stressed out. After a great meal, or just as an excuse to go outside and enjoy some fresh smoke filled air. Recently I had a very bad asthma attack. What I missed the most throughout the whole ordeal was not being able to smoke. That may sound sad to some of it, and granted it probably is-- but damn it, I like to smoke. It really is a part of who I am and perhaps a throw back to yester year when everyone smoked, especially the individuals, the artists and the manly men. Regardless, I think we should all be entitled to our vices. I have very few, so I will make the most of it and embrace it with open arms. Smoking may very well kill me. I understand that. At the very least it is probably shortening my life. But I say unto you, it is the last years that I am losing, the ones where I am old, decrepid and of feeble mind. Those years suck anyways, I would much rather die young and leave a beautiful corpse. This smokes for you. (lighting up)

Well this is touchy. I am a heavy smoker and have smoked since I was 8 years old. So I've been smoking 45 years. I now smoke 2+ packs a day. The worst thing is that I also have bronchial asthma. This is not good I know all too well. I have tried the patch, Zyban and other programs and have not been able to quit. I stopped once for 5 1/2 months at the most. I need to quit but it seems I am not ready. I smoke just to smoke and the habitualness of it I suppose. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
