The old boys will be boys. Let us talk a little about equality. Would you as a parent raise your(twin)daughter differently from your(twin)son. If so to what point and in which way? There are some that think that starting even in infancy male babies should not do some things such as suck their thumbs but it's o.k for females, male toddlers can not play with dolls but female can play with cars. But more inportantly does twin 15 y.o's 1 boy 1 girl has the same curfew? Does dating starts at the same age? Do you selet his/her friends or just hers? Do this influences male to be more independent and females more dependent.

I hope that I will be able to treat my kids when they come along (getting Married in October and no, noone is pregnant, yet) more equally. Heck the fact that my fiance and I are both in a male dominated field of IT that only in recent years has had an influx of women shows me we're not raising any "typical" daughters. Of course parents are not the only influence there and I am still pondering how to deal with very traditional thinking grandparents.
