Advice for a novice?

I am very interested in learning about graphic design. I was just wondering if any of you could suggest tips on where I can begin learning about this subject. Any websites or books that are useful for a beginner?

I would say start with some of the adobe programs. Make sure to get adobe classroom in a book. This can be a good introduction for you and then you can decide from there how much further you want to go.
