Has anyone sold on ebay or is selling on ebay right now and is earning some extra income. I have sold items on ebay before, mostly to get rid of stuff around the house. I had an ebay store before, but it got to expensive after awhile, but the fees are lower. So if anyone has any tips or advice they can give me about selling on ebay and actually earn some extra money I would appreciate it.

Selling on eBay is a real gamble. Unfortunately, it can cost more in listing fees than you will get from the sale of your item. And having a store is definitely too expensive unless you have a large stock of readily available items to sell. I have sold on eBay and have had a store for several years. The very best items to sell are the collectibles, usually items I have found at garage sales or flea markets. I pay no more than a dollar, and usually less, for these items and have sold them for much much more. These are the best ways I have found to make money on eBay. Regular household stuff is okay, but it just doesn't sell for much. Here is a link to my eBay blog about selling on eBay. It might be useful to those interested in getting started as eBay merchants. http://blogs.ebay.ca/goldbus668 I always research any items before listing them, too, to be sure they are saleable and are drawing lots of bids and lots of attention. Otherwise, listing an unpopular item is a waste of both your time and your money.
