For the male genitalia..there is health benefit as it improves the personal hygiene and prevents infections But I do not know what is the benefit for female circumcision...Personally,it is the most cruel thing to practice in some customs..

I don't know about the health/medical benefits of circumcision but I do know as a woman that an uncircumcised c*ck is really a turn off. I think they look horrible and they seem unclean. Give me circumcised over uncircumcised any day.

There are seldom any health benefits to circumcision. In rare cases if the foreskin is too tight & won't retract, a circumcision may be the best choice. But as far as routine cutting of infant boys, there is no valid reason for that practice to continue. As for the responder who said that it's physically unappealing to her; I'd say that's just the culture she grew up in. If it was routine for baby boy's to be left in tact (which it is slowly becoming in the US) than I doubt many would feel that way any longer. I know when I was younger, I would have said similar.

Circumcision can make easy voiding. Its done for some babies surgically to relieve the difficulty in passing urine.Medical books says there is a least chance of penile cancers in a person who is circumcised than someone who is not.
