Have you been object of computer terror? I dont mean the usual spam, virus or hacker attacks or even forum flames. I mean theese people who try to enter your personal life. And do it aggresively. They are waiting for you specialy when you come online, who you talk with, what is your daily mood...they even have the fix-idea that you are something more then just a virtual compagnion. It`s not neccecary you to flirt with them or something else. They are just maniacs, they create arround you a legend and support it without your active participation. If u or somebody you know is a victim of behavior like this, how do you protect yourself? It`s really at least boring when somebody has you as fix-idea and tries to control your virtual life...and wants again and again your attention...

Are they using instant messenger to bother you? I, only, have a couple friends I talk to on instant messenger. I've never had that problem, but I'd block them somehow and wouldn't talk to them anymore. Too many weirdos in this world and you never know what they are going to do.

I have had different cases. Sometimes the filter is useless. You visit one and the same forums and places. And this is not this kind of direct flame what you can report to the moderator. He is friendly...he is really friendly...but you feel that he crosses the line between the common and the private territory. He obsesses me.I try to keep balance. Dont want to be rude. But if it continues -may be i will loose a patience:-(

My friend experienced that once. She was very shocked and she reported it to the police. Then they arrested the man.

is there a low what prevents the people of Internet terror? I am not sure how much theese cases are treated like crimes. usually the police says: o...this is just Internet...dont take it seriously. But the discomfort is very real.

Well, I never have heard of those people before. I do not think that I want to meet them either. And thankfully, I never had one either before.
