Judge the person not religion or race

So many people are quick to stereotype certain religions and races of people. But I feel that there are bad and good people from all over the world from all different backgrounds, walks of life, races and religions. I never judge someone like that, I only judge people as individuals and the person they are. Although we may have different views I feel that as long as this person is not doing harm to others is it really fair to stereotype one race or people of same religion. So many people do though. I would love to hear your opinions on this.

Stereotypes exist whether you like it or not. It is difficult to tell people not to be so stereotypical because I believe we are all so to a certain degree. You yourself, Im sure you have some fixed idea in your mind about certain groups of people which you just can't shake loose in spite of all the good things you have heard about them.

I used to when I was younger but now my attitude has changed, but that said youare also right as with my daughter if she wants to play with another child and I know the parents to be under teh influence or a bad lot (yes stereotyping) then I woudl honestly have to say I would discourage my daughter from hanginga round with members of the family, but that is not down to race or religion it is down to morals and illegal activity.

It is absolutely incorrect to judge a person by his religion, race or background. Each individual is a different and unique person. We should judge a person only by his qualities.

I totally agree with you, everyone should be judged as an individual. Thank you for posting

religion or race doesnt bwecome an issue to me unless the person i am meeting makes it one. What i have found is that devout people want to make their religion an issue and this encourages steriotyping

I do hate to have religion pushed in my face but I have had christians, catholics, muslims and pagans all do the same yet I know other people of the same religion who are just happy that I respect their religion although do not follow it. i woudl not go as far as to have images of every god and prayer all over my house but if it comes to eating and there are certain foods one of my freinds can't eat then I will do my upmost to cater for them the best I can, and hope that in return that they will appreciate my wetsern way of dressing in return and the fact that Ido not have a religion. If it was pushed in my face I would not judge the religion as a whole but judge the person and would have to say break them free from my social circle as it is all about give and take in any relationship/freindship.

yes, the most issue is the religion, some peole dont like to talk to you if your religion is not the same like them. But for me, i dont care if we are not the same religion.I am catholic but i think that maybe if no religion people will love each other. you must not look for the race or religion of people but their behavior towars us.
