Any Iron Chef America fans out there? What was your favorite secret ingredient? And who is your favorite chef? For me it is Batelli. And my favorite secret ingredient was fennel. Well because I like anything that has a licorice flavor to it.

Isn't that on cable? I don't have cable. I'm not really in to cooking shows.

It is on the Food Network channel and yes, it is probably only on cable, but it could be that you may be able to get it on DVds.

My husband loves all of those shows. He started with the original Iron Chef, I think he said he was watching it when he lived in Okinowa on the Air Force base as a child. Not sure. I do watch the origanl and Iron Chef America with him, but don't know the details like names of chefs. Sorry. Chocolate is a suprizing if not favourite secret ingredient. Using chocolate in main dishes - not just in desert!

I was but I have given up my cable. And I am very happy about that! Anyway, I liked the special spice that had a lemon flavor, and anise type spice, I believe it was.

There are so many different spices and ingredients that is hard to keep track. The lemon flavor spice is lemon grass, but I am not too sure I sure wish we could get some of the ingredients where I live, but we have almost six months of winter and with the cost of transportation going up, it seems the only way I can taste such delicious food is to travel or persuade my husband to move somewhere warmer than Manitoba.
