Rude Lady At McDonalds

On our way home from our Seniro Trip, one of the buses that was carrying students broke down. The bus I was riding stopped by some fast food restruants and dropped us off and then left to go pick up the stranded kids. I was tired and very cranky. Most of that day had been bad for me so i wasn't happy about being late getting home. Well, me and my friend when to McDonalds. And I ordered what I always ordered, the 2 cheeseburger meal with a sprite. So I went to the register and ordered. The lady said "okay the cheeseburger meal." So I gave her the money and went to the back of the lines to wait, soon my friend joined me. A few minutes later they called whoever ordered a happy meal with a cheeseburger and sprite. That's not what I ordered so I didnt move. Well after they called it a few times the lady that took my order looked at the recipt and then very loudly, and meanly, she looked up pointed at me and said "this is your order." I'm by the back of the lines so I have to talk loud too. I said "that's not what I ordered." The lady goes "yes it is." (That made me really mad). I was going to place blame though, it was a mistake. But this lady was ready to make the whole situation my fault. I went to the counter (by the way everyone in McDonalds is now watching us, and it was very crowded) and I told her I ordered the two cheeseburger meal. She said "you told me the happy meal cheeseburger." I told her I did not, and I was annoied she kept arguing with me like that. she said "I asked you if you wanted the happy meal and you said yes." I never said yes to anything that lady said! I just ordered and left to wait! So she gets all mad and says "you kids never talk loud enough. I got these machines behind me and you always whisper when you order." I know how I order and I talk loud and I enunciate. This lady was just trying to find everyway to blame me for her mistake! So she makes me repay her and go wait again. Me and my friend are in the back laughing, but I am mad and my friend knows it because she knows I had a crappy day. Our orders come at the same time and my friend leaves the counter first to go sit down. As I turn with my food that lady is helping someone in line and she asks them for their name. Loud, so I can hear it, she says "I'm putting names on these[the reciepts] now because peopel don't know what they order." I was so mad that she was mocking me like that! Me and my friend were sitting by where the counter was and I could hear everytime she made a little comment about me, she did it evrey so often the whole time we were in there! I was so mad when we left! I was shocked that lady was being so mean! I mean, it was her fault, not mine...am I right?

the lady probably had a worse day then you but that does not excuse her..as she is there to serve the public..maybe she has a hearing problem? i do..and i have to wear two hearing aides..but that still does not excuse her..you are the customer..you should be considered.."the benefit of the doubt?" so she should not vent her anger on you.. Yes, complain to the manager. That is what gets things done in the US..I was in Washington DC and at a Mc Do with my asawa and everyone was being served but us..finally the manager saw us waiting there..he was a true gentleman and offered us our food for free..I refused..saying.."all i want is the food we ordered..no free food..just what we ordered" He said since you don't want my money he gave my wife a lot of coupons..worth more then double what we paid..but that is beside the point..the manager in Mc Do take pride in their work and if a employee is acting rude..he wants to hear about this..as this is his money too... You were right..but let someone know what is happening ...Mc Do has a good reputation..but they make mistakes too

I can't say for 100% that my day was worse than hers, but it was really bad so there is a big chance mine was worse. I mean, I was suppose to be home by...8pm I believe if I remember correctly...and one of the other buses with students had problems so we were all standing around for hours waiting for another bus from some random place picked the other kids up and brought them back here...we didn't get home until 2:30am! I was tired, mad, anxious, hungry, etc etc. Than I get that treatment from the lady...she's lucky I didn't blow up! lol

lol! I am never good with confrontation, I'm not really good at yelling at people or arguing. But I do get very irritated when people treat me (or someone else bad). If someone does something cruel enough I will say something, but otherwise I just...ignore em.

Yes, I think you did have the worse day. Having to deal with children is bad enough and a broken bus..plus a cranky server? well, maybe she should have been told on..? The one thing in your favor is you took the higher ground..she did not..so I think in the long run Karma will catch up to her...we are our own worst enemies..that is why I no longer like to eat out..why should I pay a waiter a tip? when all they do is bring the food? so i either eat fast food..or stay home as my wife is a great cook... although she gets cranky at times too..lol

I'd write a letter to McDonalds http://www.mcdonalds.com/contact/contact_us.html I can understand a fast food worker being stressed out, but that's really uncalled for.

I'm not really sure I can do much about it now anyways. It happened in California during a trip, I'm back in Arizona. And I don't know the ladys name or the McDonalds location =/

Rule number one. Customer is always right. And if the customer is wrong, go back to rule number one.

I would have asked her for the 1-800 number for Mcdonald's to tell them about her rudeness. I use to work there and with that additude to a customer there would of been trouble.

talk to her manager and sue McDonalds for hiring unprofesional workers. she should have accepted what u said, and moved on besides putting the blame on you and make you angry.
