year after year parents spend countless time and money on costumes and accessories. But some parents refuse to let thier children celebrate the day because of beliefs, lack of time, and lack of money. What will you do?

Before, I was a Christian I let my children get costumes and accessories and go trick or treating. But, as I grew in the Lord I took my children to the Harvest Festival at church. God Bless

My son will go trick or treating. Not having money or time are not vaild excuses. You can make costumes from materials around the house and if you can't make time for your kids (most trick-or-treating happens after 6pm) maybe you should not have had them. If you can't take your kid out, a realtive or even a trusted neighbor may be able to go. As for religious beliefs, to each his own. Since Halloween is so commercialized there should be no religion against it.

well said, very strongly put. I don't have kids yet, just one on the way and I love Halloween, and I would never deprive my child of that day but I was however deprived, due to weather or the exscuses mentioned in the topic.
