Does anyone know of a religion that actually practices out--of-body experiences?

I remember many, many years ago, I would watch this group of people from my window and they would wear white robes and attend some type of religious service. By the time, I got to know one of the women it the group, the pastor had married one of the women of the church and moved to another city and the church was disbanned. When I asked about he religion, the woman, who became my best friend, explained to me that the minister would take them into one of the rooms, after the service (Not alone, no funny business, well actually there was some funny business going on here.) and they would lie on a table and he would put them into a trance and they would step out of there bodies and travel. Through fields and flowers and peaceful types of experiences. But, she said that after she started participating in these experiences, she started having visits from demonic figures (who she considered to be satan) and experiencing bad dreams and visions. I tried to get some other women to tell me more about, but none of them would talk about it. Years later, I tried to ask her about it again and she became very frighten and refused to talk about it. Obviously, she wants to bury the memory. Have you every heard of this?

Yes these things happen. Apparently the priest only meant them well, but did not have the complete knowledge to keep his disciples safe. Going into a trance and travelling outside of one's body is not an every-day affair, but they do happen. However, these experiences open up your aura, exposing you to a variety of energies. What she saw wasn't exactly Satan. There are several positive and negative spirits around us, and sometimes one sees them if one is sensitive - and going into a trance makes one sensitive. So thats all that happened - they all became sensitive, and apparently they were living in an area which had a little too many negative spirits who were interested in scaring these people, and the poor priest had to suffer. I have some aquaintences who can see spirits, and know from them that both good and bad spirits exist - they know if you can see them, and the bad ones are very troublesome and at times scary too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. So maybe because she was "traveling" she opened up a new aspect of her "vision" enabling her to see things she would not have normally seen. I am going to have to find out more about this.

Yes indeed they are the people who go astray and invent there own religions besides religions provided by there creator to follow and i think the true religion must be concerned for the masses not for a small group of people and it should provide justice and law so peace can be achievable through it and a religion should describe us the better way for living not just freedom or liberty because anything which exceed will cause damage and differences .............
