I've recently become interested in learning HTML and CSS so I can make my own earning website. I've been reading about it on the internet, and now I'm thinking of buying a book. What HTML and CSS books would you recommend for beginners like myself?

I haven't logged into mylot in that much time, I think. *sheepish grin* Anyway, I decided to give Dreamweaver a go. I watched some web tutorials, read the Dreamweaver help file and did the Dreamweaver tutorials in there step by step. I was surprised that it all made sense. :p I've already started creating my first website but it's not finished yet. Want to see? http://adventuresinbohol.110mb.com It's basically a simple website about an island in the Philippines called Bohol and the recent vacation we had there. Let me know what you think? :)

When I decided to learn, the first thing I did was to do an online tutorial. I went to www.davestie.com and did the interactive HTML tutorial. IT was terrific. After that I bought The Complete Idiots Guide to HTML. I read the book all the way through once and now I keep it around for quick reference. It was really easy to read and understand especially after going through the tutorial online.

I've been through that site already (www.davesite.com) and I was able to make simple sites. Could you give me more useful sites where I can learn more about html. I mostly rely on the net since books are quite costly.

I am also a beginner in learning HTML, JAVASCRIPT AND CSS. The book i am using is ADVANCED HTML from BPB publication. This is a good book but if this book is not available there then you can go to any library and search for the book that interest and then purchase it from the book shop of your area. You will get many option once you went to the bookshop. So go to the shop and search for them.
