do you wash your own clothes, do you take it to a laundry expert or do you ask someone to do it for you?

Yes, I wash my own clothes, my sons clothes, and my husbands clothes. I have not ever taken anything to the cleaners or a proffessional launderer. I use Dryel for my dry clean only items. I hate to have to spend the extra money on something I can do myself.

i agree with you that it is best that we do the chores that we can to save on expenses. those which we can easily deal with, are also done best by us. the cleaners might do it good, but we can be sure that they are using strong detergents to make sure that the clients will be satisfied with their work. thus, those who always bring their clothes to the cleaners will notice that their clohtes get torn faster than before. meaning, we are actually saving more than just the fee we give to the cleaners if we will wash our own clothes.

I washmy own cloth by myself. Few hours ago I have done it. I washed few shirts & pants. I always enjoy to wash my cloth by myself. When dirty starts to go away from my cloth then I feel better & gradually it increase.. Now a time I live in Dhaka & I am alone here. If I live with my family then most of the time my mother takes the parts about the cloths even when I am not interested about that. I have tow younger sisiter & one of them is married & live in her husband house & another one is in our house.. some times my sister washes my clothes & I think she enjoy also to wash my cloth. I had a great memory about washing a cloth of my father. My father has gifted me a pant that was his own & I like it very much since a long time ago he weared this pant & now this time I am wearing that pant. When I take step to wash that pant I feel luck & joy.. and I wash every part of the pant carefully & lovingly.

I wash all my own clothes. And my kids's clothes. And my boyfriend's clothes. And anything else that needs washing. LOL Though I'm certainly not an expert.

My fiance before me has had expert do it for him at the laundry matt and I think that is kind of gross to have a stranger to touch your dirty clothes and god only knows what they might think and he says "who cares, they'll never have to see you again", it's like no way, I am just a very private person and hate others touching my clothes. I do all my laundry and my families too, I don't trust my fiance to do it..lol..He can help fold the towels or whatever but I'd rather do it myself and he doesn't mind..lol. -Lora

Yes, since i am the only one around to do it, unless i made my sons do it. That would just be wrong though, however i am starting to teach them how to do their own.

I wash all my own clothes. I have since I was about 15. The only time I ever go to a 'laundry expert' is if I have to get something dry cleaned!

One of my hateful jobs is washing and ironing. However, I'm very meticulous with laundering and so I can't trust other people to wash my clothes for me. What I do is I wait until the laundry basket is overflowing before I load them into the washing machine. Fortunately, in my present job I don't have to do the laundry myself. The service is provided by the school for the students and teachers as well. I send in my laundry on the weekend and they give it back to me neatly pressed. Isn't that awesome? :D

I wash my own clothing, if I asked anyone else in my family to do it they would laugh at me and tell me to do it myself. Occasionally they will put it from the washer to the dryer if they need the washer right afterwards or from the dryer tossed onto my bed if they need the dryer. I don't have them washed by a laundry expert because I am a college student and don't have the money, and because I'm allergic to some laundry soaps so I have to watch what i use and make sure that it isn't washed in something that will make me break out or it was a waist of time to do the laundry because it will have to be redone.

I used to wash my own clothes when I live with my grandparents. Nobody would do it for me. But when I transfer to my parents house they never allow me to do it. My mother told me to leave it all to her and let myself focus on my studies. So my mother do it for me.

Yes I wash all of my own clothes, my partners and my daughters clothes, I could not see the point in paying someone else to do this as I dont think that it is that hard! Washing the clothes would have to be one of my favourite parts of house work!

To be honest, I learned how to wash clothes when I was in high school. But eversince we use the washing machine for washing clothes. My mom usually operates the machine and doesn't want anyone else to do it. I also know how to operate the machine and do it whenever I can.

we always handwash our own clothes at home. if i get to be too busy and my children are also occupied with their work, i will hire a laundry woman to do the work at home. i will only bring my dirty clothes to the washers if i do not live in the place and since i am only paying a visit there, i might not have a good idea as to how to go about washing them myself.

We have house help at home who does our laundry in the machine. It's a great help when you don't need to wash our clothes after a hard days work. But I wash my own undergarments as I'm not comfortable having someone wash it for me.

I occasionally do, especially if I'm on a trip or I'm somewhere else. If I'm in my house, though, I seldom wash my clothes, since our helpers normally take care of putting it into the washing machine and let such do its natural work.

For me there is a maid who does the washing job for me.. She takes care of washing my and my husband's clothes.. It is a great idea to wash yours and your family's clothes.. But due to health problems and time crunch many people are not able to do it..
