When you write a discussion, do you see if there are similar?

I have written discussions, and when I see a similar one, I feel like a copycat. I like to have my own original ideas. But many times, there is no similar discussions, so that makes me happy. How about you? When you write a discussion, do you check if there are similar one's? If there are similar, very similar, how do you feel?

Jennifer, do you know how many times i've read this? LOL! With all the members and the past discussions, similar discussions will happen! Some members copy intentionally, leaving no doubt. I know you are not the type of person who would do this! When i was a newbie i unintentionally copied, so i apoligized as soon as i knew. That's all a person can do. We don't yet have the option of delete. Take care.

I never look, no. Obviously, if i have answered to a discussion already, i won't post about it the following day. But sometimes i just feel like talking about something, so i just post about it here, not worrying if others had already talked about it or not. Anyway being original with already 100,000 members is almost impossible. There are always different ways to approach a topic, and besides, none of us reads ALL the topics posted.

Hello Jennifer, This hasn't happened to my, yet. :D But I found out that after I started a discussion after a week some one started 3 or 4 discussions similar to mine. I was a little piste because I don't like people that stoles ideas from others and say that there them. Take care, ScarFace.

I start discussions with my own ideas. If it happens to be similar to someone else's then it is not my fault. I do not feel like a copycat.

Yes i do. I surf first for the idea i have in mind, if it has similar discussion I feel a little upset that someone already got what i think of, so i just respond on someone else's discussion. But if my idea is somehow the same but i am looking in a different side of the topic, i go on with my own discussion.
