I've been trying really hard to grow my hair out a bit this summer, I've had shoulder length hair for the last 5 years and would like to try and grow it out a few more inches for a while. I want to try a change and do something longer. But boy is it driving me nuts! 99% of the time by about 4PM, my hair is in a bun because it feels so heavy. I have just gotten it thinned out and cut, but I am just not used to it being so long! I'm sure if I stick with it, I will eventually get used to it, but in the meantime, it is driving me crazy!

I've had short hair for a really long time... I haven't even had shoulder length hair for about 14 years and it hasn't been longer than chin length for at least 10. So I've been growing my hair out too.. and it's making me crazy. I'm amazed that I can put it in a ponytail..I haven't been able to do that in ages! But I can't figure out what to do with it, style wise. So I've just been leaving my hair naturally wavy. But every couple of days I'm like I WANT TO CUT MY HAIR AGAIN!

I understand your frustrations. When my husband and I became engaged he made me promise to grow out my hair for our wedding. Thank goodness we were engaged for a while. By the time I walked down the aisle my hair was all the way down my back. There really is no way to make your hair grow faster but you can keep it healthy by trimming it. This may sound silly but I found rubbing tea tree oil into my scalp helped keep it healthy. Some people say this helps it grow but I'm not so sure.
