Do you ever get a ringing in your ears?

I've been told it's normal and that everyone gets it from time to time and that it's nothing to worry about really.

Yes, I do get a ringing in my ears. I remember getting it once in a while when I was little. I don't know anything about it; if it's a medical reaction, etc. But it goes away. (for me) I only get it for around five minutes.

It is called tinnitus and yes, it is quite common. But it can also be a a reaction to many meds..I think it is a side effect of too much acetominophen (tylenol). I have nerve damage and am profoundly deaf in one ear...a surgeon made a boo-boo. I hear all kinds of noises in it. Sometimes they are so loud, I can not hear real noises.
