girl found in conneticut

I was just watching CNN and the police have found a girl that has been missing for a year. She was found in a hidden room under a staircase in a house a few miles from her own home! The people that had her used to work with the girls stepfather! I don't understand people and why they think they can kidnap and keep people contained or kill them. What is our world coming to? The parents are now saying that they thought maybe she had just run away again. It sounds like there had been some family issues going on before hand.

That poor girl. It sounds like they knew about the problems and that her family might assume that she had just run away again. How was she finally found and rescued?

Somehow the police ended up following up some leads and searched the house. They did not go into a lot of details about it, but that is what I remember.

What a horrible thing that happened to that little girl, I hope this will enlighten people that bad people dont just appear in the barrel, they are made from bad experiences too and they are built by bad people also. Evil begets evil and so on, we are all connected, if we just take time everyday and be positive to children may be we can make more of a difference in their lives and help them grow up better. I dont know about those folks who kidnapped her but these people are sick they were sick because someone made them sick, it is a viscious cycle of human infecting human with the illness of cruelty and apathy! We must protect our children, me and my friends all suffered abuse as children, it is a wonder that most of us grew up normal after the ordeals we have went through as kids. But let me stress this out a child is a gift from GOD a new life to begin a new hope for humanity. each one even how hyper and annoying the can sometimes be is a new beacon waiting to be lit. If the beacon is dim and his dimness will be passed on.

That's so creepy! I can't understand why people would do things like that to other people. I just don't get the point of it! Plus, why do people think they can do stuff like that and just get away with it. I'm glad they finally got caught. I can only imagine what that girl must be going through.

I know, it seems like they feel that they can do whatever and never get caught. But, it always seems like they do get caught. I feel sorry for the girl, too, it is such a trauma.

Sounds exactly like Harry Potter, under the staircase. I seriously think that the girl was so frightened that she didn't and couldn't do anything to break free from the kidnappers. How can anyone not know about the problems the stepfather has with the ex-worker? Don't the detectives follow every lead they get? - Lyn

I wondered those same questions. Plus there were other problems at home that had caused her to run away before.

Omgosh! That is terrible! I am happy they found her alive though the poor girl will be traumatized for life now. This is so very sad. I also hope the person that did it gets locked up for a long time.

I know, I hope they can sort out all the details and find out what exactly went on. I know they said the girl had run away from home another time, and they had thoughts about that. But, in the end the most important thing is that the girl needs some emotional support and help.

Maybe Satan had possessed these kind of people! I pity the girl. She was a victim of grudge between her stepfather and the worker of the latter. Why did they not kidnap the stepfather instead of the innocent girl. Anyway, KARMA works all the time!

I know and late last night they were talking about maybe she ran away this time, too, and was living there on her own will. But, that is hard to believe if they found her in a secret room. I guess time will tell.

At least it wasn't an abusive parent that did the kidnapping like in this case: http://maradydd.livejournal.com/362033.html
