Is A Safe Site?

I've seen this a few times, but I'm not sure if this is safe for kids. Basically, it's an interactive game where players are penguins and allowed to interact with other people. I would be concerned with any social site dedicated to interaction. Maybe I'm overly concerned.

Of course, there are bad people. However, I've played it for a few months and haven't encountered some really nasty people. You can deactivate chat to prevent your kid from talking with strangers. Also, there's a timer to set the amount of time your child can play. And then the chat filter blocks most bad words. If it's not blocked, somebody will report you anyway. It's the safest social game in my opinion.

You can set the settings for what your children are allowed to say.. It also has rules about how your allowed to talk and it is monitored for rule breakers. My children play it all the time. She can only pick from certain things to say and it want let her tell other stuff. So someone could locate her. i feel it is a safe site. Happy MyLotting!

It is very safe as they have extremely strict filters for their chat. if you're the overly concerned type you can set the chat to super-safe so there can only be set messages to display to others and for you to see. There is also a simple reporting system in place if someone is harassing you or giving out personal info. additionally if someone says a bad word, the word is immediately filtered out and the penguin is banned for 12-24 hours. Never seen anyone curse or give out personal info anyway.

Club Penguin is an extremely safe game. It does not give viruses or have any bad language in it. I think that it's actually aimed at children actually! I'm 12 and I go on it a lot. I've been playing on it for 4 years now and I've never seen anyone say anything bad. If they did (in which I doubt because they know that they'd get banned for doing it)it would get filtered and someone will probably report them to a moderator for them to get their account suspended. There are even a few servers where no one can speak as the chat bar is disabled. You can be a member and pay monthly for the benefit of the game (I'm not a member) or just play for free but you miss out on decorating your igloo and buying pets and clothes. When you play for free, two of the pets (fluffballs called puffles) are available, you can pick up free items and change the colour of the penguin. I would advise you to check out the site for yourself if you're unsure about it as it is an extremely fun game! There are also special occasions on it and currently, there is a medieval party going on right now! I think that kids of ages 7 and upwards would enjoy it! :)

I'm not sure though if its a safe site for the kids. I think most of the penguins there are all kids though. I go to this site if I want to unleash the child in me and enjoy a fun game with other penguins around the world... It's really fun specially when you earn points and dress up your penguins with nice colorful costumes.

Ehh, most online "interaction" games do have some bad people. It's all about how the other people that are on the game are behaving. Usually, on a kids game such as that you'll have everyone interacting, as it should be. Although sometimes a few creeps, or weirdos come in and ruin things. If it's for your children [which it sounds like it is] I'd try the game first... just try to explore the game and see how the people behave there then make a decision wether or not they should be aloud to play.
