what is AMD's charasteristics and how it differ from Pentium 4?Why we prefer P4?

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing.It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you!

I prefer AMD processors, because they are cheaper and they are very good. I have been using the same Amd Athlon proccessor for more than 4 years and I never had a problem with it. Amd is better than intel in video games and intel is better than amd in multitasking. I don't know why people prefer intel. Maybe it's because in the early days intel was a lot better than amd, and people think that the same thing is still appliable. Another thing may be because intel has more commercials on tv and on the internet.

You got it wrong man... who said people prefer P4 to AMD. infact its the other way round... AMD is a performer and econimical too...
