Grilling out

Does anyone have any ideas on grilling out, like how to grill (BBQ) chicken with out burning it, any reciepes on BBQ meats,grilling veggies like corn on the cob? My parents have booght them a new gas grill and they asked me how to use it, and I really would like to help them out.I myself have a charol grill and the only thing I like on it is hamburgers and hot dogs.So any ideas,tips or reciepes are whole heartedly welcomed.Thanks!
