I knew that Paris Hilton had a mental illness. From the time that I first heard her say how scare she was about going to jail, I felt that I could relate to her. I also have a mental illness and I am hoping that now that the public knows about Paris, she will use her fame and fortune to be a voice for the rest of us. The look on her face when she was talking about and scared she was and the look of utter despair and sorrow on her face, when they were taking her to court, after being released, let me know what was going on. I totally felt her pain and I could only imagine what she was feeling. I am so sad that the world had to find out through the media, but I hope that this revelation is not watsed. I know that my fellow mylot friends were irked at me for having taken her side in the past few days, but I felt for her deeply. I somehow wanted to advocate for her. Maybe now, I will become a loyal fan.

LOL I'm sorry but i couldnt give a rats behind what mental illness she has...bottomline she was terrified because the precious little silver spooned angel was about to have her world totally rocked...The have mental health wards in prison, she most certainly WAS using her so called illness as an excuse and I have to wonder just how true it even is to be perfectly honest with you! She's a spoiled brat, always has been and always will be and the fact that her family couldnt buy her dumb a$$ out of trouble this time is what scared her...She had to own up and take responsiblity for the first flippin time in her life... Her new found "change" and outlook will be SHORT LIVED....mark my words, she'll be back to her old crap within a yr (if that..I'm being generous)

I find it quite interesting too how this "illness" (which btw hasnt been confirmed as far as I know) all of a sudden came to the forefront when she got stuffed into the slammer LOL..hhmm how unbelieveably convinient for her ;-) Sorry but I thnk its all bull....not to mention the fact tht there are NUMEROUS ppl serving time with mental illnesses of all sorts from ADD to schizophrenia and so on...I have neices who are ADD (and two who are ADHD) and if she REALLY had ADD that seriously it would have come out long before now...

So I guess it is safe to assume that Paris will be receiving no condolences from you. I don't like her either, but she does appear to be mentally ill. Most celebrities do not divulge this information unless they are force to, or someone else finds out and leaks it to the press.

"Most celebrities do not divulge this information unless they are force to, or someone else finds out and leaks it to the press" LOL or to pull a fast one which is exactly what she is doing...no she gets no sympathy from me AT ALL...she broke the law THREE TIMES the first two for drinking and driving THEN she drove suspended which is what got her nailed this time...shes serving a measlie 31 flippin days in PC (more or less) whats the big whoop? Your average person would have gotten a few months for an offence like that all things considered...She wants to play holier than thou she has to realize sooner or later it'll come back and bite her in the rump and thats exactly what happened...Good job on the judges part as far as I'm concerned... Get sympathy?? LOL for what? cause she broke the law AGAIN and got more than a slap on the wrist? why in the hell would I take pity on her for that??

Having a mental illness is not always bad IF people acknowledge it and get the proper help. THINK ABOUT IT, if everyone were to do a honest and serious self evaluation-they couldn't make enough prozac

Believe me, I can relate. I do not down people with mental illness. If I seem to have come across that way I am very sorry.

Yes, apparently she ahs extreme Attention Deficit Disorder and is very Claustrophobic. I could just tell that there was something seriously wrong with her. A lot of people were saying that she was just being a spoiled brat, but I knew that there was more to it than that. The sheriff knew that he was taking a big risk by sending her home, so I knew he had to have a good excuse. I am glad that they are taking better care of her now.

I heard that she has ADD and there was a guy on the video asking that she be an advocate for the mentally ill now that it is out in the open. They also said that she is eating bread and cereal and taking her medication.

Oh my, I didn't know that. Well maybe that might explain her behavior. What mental illness does she have?

She has Attention Deficit Disorder and Claustrophobia. I have a step-nephew who has ADD and he keeps me nervous. Even though he takes medication, it is hard for him to be still. So, when he would visit, he would always ask to get on my computer and I would let him some times, but I was always afraid that he would tear it up. He is a very intelligent young man though.

I can imangine how the possibility of going back to prision would bring out the worst in all of us. Yes she might have a mental illness. I know I do I have major depression, but that does not give me an excuse to break the law. I have dizzy spells and boughts of double vision, I chose to stop driving, I did that for fear of hurting someone else. Just because Paris supposidley has a "mental" illness does not mean she has to right not to sever her time in jail or that it gives her the right to break the law.

I see your put, but I don't think that she is using it as an excuse. Actually, I think that she would have preferred to keep it a secret, but this incident forced the truth out.
