Do Men Really Love Roses?

My ex-boyfriend was a manly man, so it surprise me one day when he told me that men like to recieve flowers, especially roses also. I couldn't laugh when he said it, because he was serious.
Although, I did kind of block it out and I never thought to buy him any. I am not really into flowers all that much, because I went to too many funerals when I was a child and that is what the smells remind me of. The fact that flowers die so quickly, has never helped much either. So do you know or think that men enjoy flowers as much as we do?

Do you like things that are typically "men" stuff? I know a lot of men who love flowers and love getting flowers. I think it is not so much the flowers it is the idea or the thought behind the flowers. How many men get flowers, men also love to be singled out. I love getting gifts maybe not flowers but small unexpected gifts from loved ones. Maybe it is the whole thought behind the getting of the flowers that helps also.
